Clinical Research Coordinator II (MA-Registered)

The multi-disciplinary pediatric neuromuscular team at Seattle Children’s has the unique opportunity to work together to provide evidence-based therapeutic care on novel clinical trials, advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care outcomes for the patient population. The position is housed within the Department of Neurology and the Center for Integrative Brain Research. Clinic visits will be patient facing and occur at the main hospital campus in Laurelhurst, the administrative team offices are currently across from Magnuson Park nearby on Sand Point Way NE. We are a close-knit program that offers comprehensive care and support to our patient population in several ways. The neuromuscular program diversifies itself through clinical trials, post-market registries, internally funding research pilot studies, monthly inter-disciplinary clinical care SuperClinics focused on a certain muscular dystrophy at a time, encouraging staff to attend professional meetings, continuing educational courses, team check-ins, and much more. In parallel with providing clinical care services, we actively conduct research, broadening therapeutic care and drug access while expanding medical knowledge in groundbreaking directions. The right candidate will join a team of researchers and providers who focus on evidence-informed practice to improve functional skills and mobility for children with a neuromuscular condition, such as DMD, SMA, FSHD, CMT, FA, gMG and others. The ability to provide family and child centered care, excellent communication skills, a passion for learning and sharing knowledge, committed to providing compassionate, expert-level healthcare services to patients are key attributes for success in this position. Assist the assigned division research team within the organization, implementation and completion of clinical research trials. Maintain regulatory documents; assist the Principal Investigator in the planning of protocol implementation and site initiation visits and routine monitoring of clinical studies. Along with the PI, ensure that research projects are conducted in compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies/departmental guidelines, and standards of Good Clinical Practice. This position will also assist with research related procedures and clinical activities as outlines and permitted within the Medical Assistant - Registered scope of practice as defined by Washington State Department of Health and Seattle Children’s policy. Required Education And Experience Bachelor’s Degree in or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two(2) years of research related experience OR Master’s Degree in a related discipline and one (1) year of research related experience. To obtain licensure as a Medical Assistant Registered within 60 days of employment. Bilingual skills may be required for certain positions. Required Credentials Current Medical Assistant – Registered designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH) within 60 days of employment. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) within 60 days of employment. Current Driver's license from the state of residence may be required for certain departments. Current Driver's license from the state of residence may be required for certain departments. Preferred Pediatric research experience. Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care experience and/or Medical screening and immunization. Compensation Range $35.28 - $52.92 per hour Salary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
