Senior Long Term Disability Claims Specialist

Managing a diverse and complex caseload of long-term disability claims, the full-time remote Senior Long Term Disability Claims Specialist will ensure timely and accurate decisions, collaborate with clinical and vocational partners, and serve as a subject matter expert on claims practices. Key responsibilities Oversee the entire claims process from initial intake to resolution, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop return-to-work strategies and assess benefit eligibility Mentor new team members and contribute to the refinement of internal procedures and workflows Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred 5+ years of experience in Long Term Disability claims, with a focus on complex cases Ability to independently manage a full caseload and make sound decisions Advanced knowledge of ERISA and related regulatory requirements Strong communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders
