Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer I to join our dynamic Flight Management System (FMS) team, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics program. We are seeking a passionate and driven Software Engineer who thrives on building innovative software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

In this role, you will work in a fast paced, collaborative development environment alongside experienced software and systems engineers. You will contribute to satisfying technical requirements, supporting functional load deliveries, and ensuring full compliance with stringent certification standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain core Flight Management software supporting next-generation avionics systems.

• Implement high-quality software solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.

• Participate in requirements and code reviews, contributing ideas that improve software quality and development practices.

• Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and certification teams to deliver integrated software solutions.

• Support software integration, testing, and debugging in laboratory environments

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects across the development and integration lifecycle

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.

• Academic, internship, project or professional experience in software development

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C+ WE VALUE:

• Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields.

• Object-oriented programming skills is of value.

• Experience in developing software for embedded systems is of value

• Passion for continuous learning and professional development
