Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Sunday–Saturday availability required, with block scheduling of Friday/Saturday/Sunday available if desired | Expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) setting
• Float as needed to like units or lower-acuity units across up to 5 campuses within the health system (excluding the ED)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Complete assigned compliance modules by required deadlines (non-billable, 8 hours each)
• Adhere to weekend and holiday shift commitments as outlined by the facility's scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submittal (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• Required certifications: RN, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in CVICU or equivalent specialty
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for the last 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off; no new RTO requests accepted after submittal
• 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across ICU, SDU, or Telemetry units
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments
• Availability for same-day or next-business-day interviews preferred
