Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing enterprise IT organization in Dallas, for an experienced Network Administrator to keep their LAN/WAN infrastructure fast, secure, and reliable. This hybrid role puts you at the center of daily network operations, from firewalls and VPNs to switches, routers, and uptime monitoring, giving you real ownership over the systems the whole business depends on. Day to day, you will split time between hands‑on troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and quiet stretches of monitoring dashboards for anomalies before they become outages. The person who thrives here is calm under pressure, methodical about documentation, and genuinely enjoys tracing a connectivity issue back to its root cause rather than just patching symptoms. COMPENSATION The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $92,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation and benefits details will be shared during the hiring process. Responsibilities Maintain and monitor LAN and WAN infrastructure across all office and hybrid locations Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and remote access solutions Monitor network performance and uptime, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks Respond to and resolve network incidents and outages within defined SLAs Manage switches, routers, wireless access points, and related network hardware Implement and enforce network security best practices and access controls Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures Coordinate with vendors and ISPs on circuit issues, upgrades, and installations Support patch management, firmware updates, and network capacity planning Provide escalated network troubleshooting support to the broader IT team Requirements 3+ years of experience administering enterprise LAN/WAN environments Hands‑on experience configuring and maintaining firewalls and VPN solutions Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing and switching fundamentals Experience with network monitoring tools and incident response Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity issues under time pressure Familiarity with network security principles and access control practices Strong documentation habits and clear written communication Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA are a plus Availability for occasional after‑hours maintenance windows or on‑call support Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k with employer match Paid time off and paid holidays Life and disability insurance Professional certification and training reimbursement Employee assistance program Collaborative, hands‑on IT team environment Career growth into senior network or infrastructure roles ABOUT CAREERSCAPE Careerscape is a staffing and recruiting firm connecting talented professionals with employers across administration, operations, healthcare, finance, technology, customer support, and professional services.
