Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our surgical team at an acute care facility in Petaluma, CA. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality surgical care across various specialties, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Trauma.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Weekend Requirement: As per the needs of the unit
• Call Requirement: Required
• Floating: Required within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred; 5 years preferred
• Certifications: BLS, CST (Certified Surgical Technologist), NBSTSA
• Required Experience: Trauma Level I, including charge experience
• Preferred Experience: Familiarity with community hospital settings and specific surgical procedures

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, General OR procedures, and Trauma surgeries
• Competence in using surgical equipment such as Microscope, Laparoscopic camera and tower equipment, and arthroscopic equipment
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and safety protocols, including fire and radiation safety
• Able to perform a variety of surgical procedures such as appendectomy, hysterectomy, and total joint replacements

Additional Information

Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities. Refusing to float may lead to termination of the assignment. Candidates must be willing to work during two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

Orientation and Training

• Orientation Hours: 40 hours
• Modules: Average of 16 hours spent, to be completed pre-start and annually
