Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a busy onsite manufacturing operation in Lancaster, California. This Long-term Contract position will oversee core HR activities across talent acquisition, employee support, compliance, onboarding, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in employment practices, sound judgment when handling sensitive matters, and the ability to build effective partnerships with employees and leadership.Responsibilities:• Partner with department leaders to assess workforce needs and develop effective staffing approaches for open positions.• Manage the full recruitment process by sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, checking references, and supporting the offer stage.• Lead onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation scheduling and coordination of post-offer pre-employment requirements.• Prepare recurring hiring metrics and recruitment updates to provide leadership with clear visibility into staffing activity and trends.• Maintain accurate HR documentation, including job descriptions and employee records related to hires, transfers, status changes, and separations.• Support adherence to company policies and employment regulations while assisting with policy revisions and employee handbook updates.• Respond to workplace concerns, advise managers on employee relations matters, and help foster a respectful and collaborative work environment.• Administer benefits-related processes such as open enrollment, employee communication, and coordination of informational sessions with providers.• Monitor the performance review cycle to help ensure evaluations are completed consistently and aligned with organizational expectations.• Coordinate workers’ compensation activities by reporting incidents, communicating with carriers and medical providers, arranging modified duty assignments, and tracking case progress.
