You'll work directly alongside residents — assisting with the activities of daily living, supporting their independence, and being a consistent, compassionate presence in their lives. Whether you're helping someone get dressed in the morning, encouraging a walk down the hall, or simply sitting and listening, the work you do here matters deeply.What You'll Do• Support daily living activities. Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and personal hygiene with dignity and respect.• Promote mobility and independence. Help residents move safely using assistive devices, assist with transfers, accompany residents on outings, and encourage participation in rehabilitation and range-of-motion exercises.• Observe and report. Monitor residents for changes in physical or cognitive condition and report promptly to the Licensed Nurse on duty. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately.• Provide meals and nourishment. Serve meals and snacks, observe residents for eating difficulties, and record nutritional and fluid intake as directed by the resident service plan.• Keep living spaces comfortable. Maintain neat, orderly resident rooms, assist with laundry, answer call lights promptly, and monitor for environmental safety hazards.• Support the whole person. Assist residents with phone calls, personal correspondence, and daily engagement — helping them stay connected to the people and things they love.What We're Looking For• A genuine passion for working with and advocating for older adults• Patient, dependable, and compassionate — someone residents and families can count on• 1+ year of experience working with elderly adults preferred; dementia care experience a plus• Caregiver certification (or willingness to obtain within the timeline required by state law)• CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of hire• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and various shifts as needed• TB test documentation required in compliance with state lawWhat Makes This Role SpecialReal relationships: You'll know your residents by name — and they'll know youPurposeful work: Every shift makes a direct difference in someone's lifeGrowth opportunities: Training, certification support, and a path to advance in careAbout Art?gan Communities: We operate retirement, independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities built on a philosophy of human dignity and purpose.
