Recruitment: Part-Time Africa Policy Researcher
Job Description
This position is fully remote and open to global candidates. We welcome talented individuals to join us in conducting in-depth research and professional dialogue on African regional policies and affairs.
Job Responsibilities
1. Produce high-quality research reports and policy analysis on African political, economic, security, and industrial policies across regional and national dimensions.
2. Track real-time developments and emerging issues in African countries and regional organizations, covering diplomatic policies, cross-border trade, regional integration, and security governance, and provide forward-looking policy and investment insights.
3. Participate in online academic and professional discussions, assist in designing Africa-focused research projects, and propose actionable policy and investment recommendations for institutional and commercial clients.
4. Complete other Africa policy-related research tasks assigned by the organization.
Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in international relations, political science, economics, African regional studies, or related fields; Ph.D. or postdoctoral experience is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional research experience in African policy, African regional affairs, or international relations. Prior work experience in government agencies, think tanks, academic institutions, or international organizations is a plus.
3. Core Competencies: Solid theoretical foundation in African regional studies; familiar with African national governance systems, regional policy frameworks, and local economic and political contexts. Possess excellent bilingual Chinese and English writing and communication skills (applicants must submit past research reports or writing samples). Proficient in office software and basic data analysis tools, with strong independent research capabilities.
4. Professionalism: Sensitive to African political and economic trends, responsive to emerging regional issues, and equipped with rigorous work attitude and teamwork spirit.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Published research papers or reports on African regional policy in peer-reviewed journals or professional platforms.
2. Experience in government policy consultation or think tank report drafting focusing on Africa.
3. Interdisciplinary background in international law, development economics, security governance, or cross-border investment policy.
