As a Registered Nurse at St. Mark's Hospital, you’ll have all the staffing support, technology and resources you need to deliver safe, high-quality care—so you can focus on what you do best. As a highly‑skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit you will provide the best possible preventative, supportive, and nursing care to each patient receiving care for acute medical/surgical diseases and conditions. You will create individualized care plans via assessment and planning. Our team supports each other like family and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. Open to training the right candidate who would fit in with our family culture. Responsibilities You will provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care. You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. You will provide care for the patient in collaboration with the patient/family, considering developmental, cultural, and age‑specific differences, and develop and implement patient care plans. You will communicate effectively with physicians regarding the patient’s clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies. You will perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all patients. You will participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department. You will work collaboratively with Social Service and Pastoral Care to support families with emotional and end‑of‑life resources such as Hospice. You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure. Qualifications NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. RN credential. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date. One or more years of higher‑acuity (hospital) RN experience required.
