Manager of Strategic Planning

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Manager, Strategic Planning performs project work of a generally complex nature, with responsibility for oversight of strategic planning analysis. Project assignments include leading and managing strategic planning projects, supporting environmental assessments and market research, assessing strategic implications on the organization and marketplace, preparing reports and proposing recommendations for internal and external customers. The Manager coordinates work with other strategic support services areas such as analytics, finance, facilities, transformation, and marketing. The manager facilitates and oversees team assignments and project resources as they pertain to projects assigned to the Manager. The Manager communicates regularly and often works directly with leaders on a wide variety of topics and/or projects. Critical thinking, problem solving, analytical approach, relationship building, flexibility, innovation, and creativity are necessary characteristics. The Manager will report directly to the Director, Planning & Certificate of Need (CON) Strategy. Education/Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in: Cross-functional healthcare/business areas Planning and business development Familiarity with key healthcare industry issues and their organizational impact preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Customer/client-focused mindset Experience managing large, complex projects Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills Proficient in: Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Mapping tools Other relevant software applications Ability to translate complex analyses into clear visual presentations Skilled at creating executive summaries and presentation materials Strong presentation and facilitation skills Additional Information Organization: Corporate Services Department: Planning Shift: Day Job Union Code: Not Applicable #J-18808-Ljbffr Henry Ford Health
