Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Candidates must possess relevant experience and skills to excel in this dynamic environment.
Candidates will provide care for a range of patients undergoing various procedures, including:
- Biopsies
- UFE procedures
- Kyphoplasties
- Port placements
- Diagnostic angiograms
- Interventional arterial procedures
- Interventional venous procedures
- IVC placements
- Venous thrombectomies
- Neurological thrombectomies
- Coiling
- Aneurysm rupture repairs
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
Shifts consist of four 10-hour workdays per week with rotating off-days, from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Travel staff will be treated equally with core staff regarding holiday coverage. Core staff are required to cover one winter holiday (Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year's) and one summer holiday (July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day).
All requests for time off need to be approved by the Manager.
Routine procedures are scheduled Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Emergency coverage is available 24/7. On-call requirements typically occur every 4 weeks, including one night during the week. 2 RNs and 1 Tech are on the call team.
RNs may float to other procedural areas if skillset qualifies, such as the cath lab pre/post area.
Orientation includes 2 shifts on the unit and 1-2 shifts focused on education/onboarding.
Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Skills Required:
- ICU care
- Moderate sedation
- Arterial line management
- Medication titration
- Chest tube management
- Neuro experience, specifically in thrombectomies and aneurysm coiling
- Carotid stent placement
Unit Support:
- Charge Nurse available for oversight
- 1 RN and 2-3 Techs assist in each procedure room
Technology and Equipment:
- EMR: Cerner
- IV Pumps: Plum 360
- Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Spacelabs
Scrub Color: Any color
