Salon Manager / Salon Leader – Licensed Hair Stylist

American Salon Group is hiring a motivated, licensed Salon Manager / Salon Leader / Hair Stylist who is ready to take the next step in their beauty career.

This is not a management-only position. Our Salon Leaders are working stylists who perform services behind the chair, build and retain their own clientele, drive salon sales, and lead their team by example.

If you're a licensed cosmetologist or hair stylist with strong customer service skills, a passion for the beauty industry, and the drive to grow both a client base and a successful salon team , we want to meet you.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of professional hair stylists
• Work behind the chair and perform professional hair services
• Actively build, grow, and retain your own clientele
• Deliver exceptional client consultations and guest experiences
• Perform haircuts, styling, color, treatments, and other salon services within your skill set
• Drive salon revenue through service sales and retail product sales
• Recommend professional hair care products to clients
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop salon team members
• Set performance expectations and coach stylists toward their goals
• Build client loyalty, repeat business, referrals, and salon traffic
• Monitor productivity, client retention, wait times, and salon performance
• Manage scheduling based on business and client needs
• Handle guest concerns professionally and provide service recovery when needed
• Maintain salon inventory, merchandising, and product ordering
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures and salon operations
• Help create a positive, professional, team-focused salon culture
• Promote the salon locally and identify opportunities to attract new clients
• Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, sales, and technical performance

Qualifications

• Current cosmetology license as required by the state
• Professional hair styling and salon service experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to perform services behind the chair
• Motivated to build and maintain a personal clientele
• Leadership, coaching, or management experience preferred
• Strong sales mindset with the ability to recommend professional retail products
• Ability to motivate and develop a team
• Dependable, professional, organized, and goal-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced salon environment
