My Gutter Doctor is a veteran-owned, family-operated exterior home service company serving Maryland. We specialize in gutter cleaning, repairs, gutter protection systems, seamless gutter installation, and soffit and fascia services.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Sales Associate to manage new customer inquiries, prepare estimates, follow up on opportunities, and help homeowners select the right solution for their property.

This is a consultative sales position. Successful candidates will listen to customers, identify their concerns, explain available options, and confidently recommend the best solution based on the condition of the home and the customer’s priorities.

Gutter or construction experience is helpful but not required. We will provide product, estimating, sales-process, and industry training.

Primary Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to incoming phone calls, emails, website requests, and text messages
• Contact new leads and existing customers during the same business day
• Identify each customer’s problems, goals, budget, and preferred timeline
• Gather property information, measurements, photographs, and videos
• Offer virtual or in-person estimate options when appropriate
• Prepare clear and accurate Good, Better, and Best proposals
• Explain gutter cleaning plans, repairs, replacement systems, and gutter protection options
• Educate customers on product differences, warranties, maintenance, and expected system performance
• Follow up consistently by phone, text, and email until the customer reaches a decision
• Maintain accurate customer notes, estimates, tasks, and pipeline stages in Housecall Pro
• Coordinate with field technicians, installers, management, and office personnel
• Protect company pricing standards and required profit margins
• Achieve established sales, conversion-rate, revenue, and customer-service goals
• Request feedback and reviews from satisfied customers
• Escalate customer concerns or negative feedback to management promptly
• Represent My Gutter Doctor professionally and honestly at all times

The Sales Associate will be measured on:

• Same-business-day response to customer inquiries
• Timely and consistent estimate follow-up
• Accuracy and completeness of proposals
• Sales revenue and gross-margin performance
• Lead-to-sale conversion rates
• CRM documentation and pipeline management
• Customer satisfaction and communication
• Teamwork, reliability, and adherence to company values

Qualifications

• Previous sales, customer-service, construction, or home-service experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with homeowners by phone, text, email, video, and in person
• Ability to explain technical information in clear, customer-friendly language
• Organized and able to manage multiple leads and follow-up tasks
• Comfortable using computers, mobile applications, CRM systems, and estimating software
• Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
• Able to work independently while contributing to a team
• Willingness to learn gutter systems, drainage, exterior construction, and company products
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to obtain any required Maryland home-improvement salesperson licensing
• Ability to pass applicable background and employment screenings

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, occasional weekends
• Hours 7:00 - 4:00
• Standard workday generally ends around 4:00 p.m.
• Occasional customer communication may be required until approximately 6:00 p.m.
• Some seasonal or scheduled weekend availability may be required
