Mammography Tech

Location: New York, NY | Schedule: Full-time, on-site Overview A respected private medical practice in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join its breast imaging team. This role plays a key part in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease, combining technical skill, clinical judgment, and compassionate patient care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. What you'll do Perform 3D digital mammography and quality control procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA Required qualifications Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program ARRT Registration R.T.(R) required ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable) Must maintain registry status and continuing education Minimum two years of mammography experience Ability to work independently without supervision with excellent problem-solving skills Compensation and benefits Highly competitive salary Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement Additional perks offered Why this role This is an opportunity to join one of New York City's most respected private practices, located in the heart of Manhattan, working alongside top professionals in the field with access to cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technology. #J-18808-Ljbffr
