We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Civil Engineering to lead and manage our civil engineering operations. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong technical background, proven project management skills, and the ability to drive innovation and excellence across land development, infrastructure, and site design projects.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Civil Engineering to lead and manage our civil engineering operations. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong technical background, proven project management skills, and the ability to drive innovation and excellence across land development, infrastructure, and site design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the civil engineering department, including project managers, engineers, and technical staff.
• Manage and direct multiple large-scale land development and infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance across all phases of design and construction.
• Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure project goals, budgets, and timelines are met.
• Develop and implement departmental strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and collaboration.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and engineering codes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong background in land development, site design, stormwater management, and permitting.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, SWMM).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with municipal and private sector clients.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED standards.
• Business development and client relationship management experience.
