Pay Range: $23.00hr - $31.51hr

Job Overview:

The PR Coordinator functions proactively in a problem resolution capacity and works to identify and solve issues regarding processing and testing laboratory specimens. The candidate collaborates with various departments, including Specimen Processing, Referral Testing, and Technical departments, to research and resolve issues, expedite specimen testing, and support result reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review Test in Question orders from physicians.
• Handle specimens for retrieval, banking, add-ons, and pending lists.
• Perform data analysis.
• Research, respond to, record, and submit additional errors regarding department quality to the department supervisor or manager as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to interpret specimen flow and tracking data utilizing available reports and resources, such as specimen logs, work lists, management reports, laboratory information systems, front-end automation, and testing instrumentation.

Education:

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• Medical background preferred, including medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• Previous data and analytics experience.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a biohazard environment while practicing good safety habits.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, production environment.

Other:

• PC skills in Excel and Word applications with ability to extract and analyze data.
• Maintains composure while working under pressure.
• Displays good judgment at all times when determining what action to take when resolving problems.

• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment.
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.
