Manufacturing Cleaning Associate-1st shift (5:30am - 1:30pm)

Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing and warehouse environment. This position supports production by performing regular and deep cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including warehouse aisles, handling and organizing manufacturing tooling, and ensuring sanitation standards are met to support quality and safety requirements. Must be able to work in a dusty environment, use general hand tools, and work at heights using ladder to access ceiling light cover and other elevated areas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Facility & Warehouse Cleaning: • Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of production floors, warehouse aisles, hallways, and common areas. • Operate floor scrubber machines and other industrial cleaning equipment to maintain facility and warehouse standards. • Remove trash and recycling materials regularly and ensure proper disposal throughout the facility and warehouse. Room Sanitation & Deep Cleaning: • Perform scheduled deep cleaning of production rooms, including walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment surfaces. • Clean per company sanitation and safety protocols. • Document completed cleaning tasks and report any issues or needed repairs to supervisors. Disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of small production equipment. Wash production parts according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure parts are thoroughly cleaned, dried, and stored properly for re-use. Maintain cleanliness of wash rooms and ensure all cleaning supplies are available and properly labeled. Tooling Handling & Organization: Handle, clean, and organize manufacturing tooling including dies, punches, and other components. Assist with storage, retrieval, and tracking of tooling to ensure availability and proper inventory control. Inspect tooling for cleanliness or damage before returning to production or storage. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in sanitation or manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred. Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers). Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to move pallets using a manual pallet jack. Able to work with cleaning chemicals while following safety protocols. Able to work in a dusty environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. Ability to work in hot, cold, or wet environments with proper PPE. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast-paced, GMP-regulated manufacturing and warehouse setting. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and noise from equipment. Rotating tasks between general cleaning, deep sanitation, tooling handling, and warehouse upkeep.
