Kitchen Prep / Back of House Team Member – Full Time
Elegance Cafe & Bakery – Paoli, PA
Full Time | Early Morning Shift | 6:15 AM–2:15 PM
Elegance Cafe & Bakery is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kitchen Prep / Back of House Team Member to join our production team.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position for someone who likes staying busy, working with food and being part of a team. Our kitchen produces the fresh salads, soups and other items served in our cafés each day, and this position plays an important role in keeping that production running smoothly.
Experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to us. We are willing to train the right person, and there is room to learn additional responsibilities and grow within the company.
What You'll Do
Depending on the day's production needs, responsibilities may include:
- Preparing our chicken and vegetarian salads according to recipes
- Preparing ingredients for the next day's production
- Labeling, dating, rotating and properly storing food
- Restocking ingredients and supplies
- Maintaining clean and organized prep and storage areas
- Washing dishes, equipment and kitchen tools
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Lifting and moving ingredients, supplies and food products
- Jumping in wherever needed to help the kitchen team complete production
What This Job Is Really Like
This is a physical job and we want applicants to understand that upfront.
You will be on your feet and moving throughout your shift. The position requires bending, reaching, carrying supplies and lifting up to 50 pounds .
Our mornings are busy. There is a production list to complete, and the entire team works together to get it done accurately and efficiently.
We're looking for someone who stays engaged throughout the day . When one task is finished, we need someone who is ready to move on to the next one, help a teammate, clean their station or ask what else needs to be done.
The days move quickly — and so do we.

- Interested in learning new skills and taking on additional responsibility
Schedule
Full-time
Typical shift: 6:15 AM–2:15 PM
Applicants must have:
- Early morning availability
- Weekday availability
- Weekend availability
- Reliable transportation to arrive for a 6:15 AM start
The benefit of the early start? You're finished around 2:15 PM and still have most of your afternoon.
