Human Resource Manager

Company Description Spokane Club is a membership-based organization, and member happiness is the primary goal for all our staff. Employee happiness is also fundamental to us! Role Description The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that members and guests have positive experiences through the selection and training of employees to support the organization’s efforts. This position is responsible for all of the club’s human resource activities including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, regulatory compliance, performance management, employee relations, policy development and implementation, training, record-keeping, and employee services. This is a one-person office, supported by a payroll specialist and controller. Part of the job performance requires a positive attitude and a real commitment to competence, job knowledge, pride, professional appearance, courtesy, and excellence in customer service. Issues are to be addressed with an attitude of cooperation and problems resolved professionally. Qualifications Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations Proficiency in performance management and compliance with employment laws Skills in developing HR policies, training, and development programs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is beneficial Medical, dental, vision insurance available after 30 days of employment. The Spokane Club covers most of the cost. Family members can be added at an additional expense. Basic life insurance coverage for all full-time employees, currently at $50k. 401k plan with a 1% match after one year of employment. Will be upgrading soon. Accrued vacation time of up to 10 days per year, along with sick pay of 1 hour per 40 hours worked.Vacation time increases to 15 days after 5 years. 6 paid holidays, along with 1 “floating” holiday to use whenever you like. Employee meal program where a company provided lunch is usually offered for free. Free Spokane Club membership and parking.
