About the Position
Our client is seeking experienced Class A Day Drivers to support local operations in Scarborough, Maine. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $36.50 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime routes
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Route distance: 50–100 miles
Job Details
- Route type: Local day routes
- Stops: Approximately 15–20 stops per route
- Freight: Freight of all kinds
- Trailer operation: Doubles
- Handling: Heavy touch
- Work setting: On-site
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment on assigned routes.
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including heavy-touch freight handling.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- X endorsement and doubles/triples endorsement required.
- Electronic logging device experience required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
