Primary responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and managing port access. Nurses will also monitor patients for side effects and provide education and support to patients and their families. Successful candidates will possess skills in administering and managing infusion therapies. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential for coordinated patient care. The role requires maintenance of patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols. Charting and documentation will be conducted using the Epic system. No weekend coverage or call is required for this role. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal lab values. Experience in patient education and family support is necessary. Travel experience is required for this position. Nurses will be expected to demonstrate knowledge in a wide range of oncology diagnoses and treatments.
