Under the direction of the department director and the Chief, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. 1. 1 Updates all patients' information.
2. Forms (History, Preg & Req)

1. 1 Completes all information needed for interpretation.
2. Equipment

1. 1 Reports all malfunctions to manager or Bio-Med.
2. Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and effects of disease processes to properly and safety position the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.

1. 1 Uses practical knowledge of anatomy for proper positioning to obtain maximum diagnostic information, as evidenced by image taken.
2. Interviews patients and reviews available clinical data from charts to alert any party to possible contradictions for procedure.

1. 1 Speaks with patient to ascertain pertinent history associated with requested exam.
2. Operates highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, operating suites and at the patient's bedside, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality images using the A.L.A.R.A. (As low as reasonable achievable) standard

1. 1 Understands and is able to utilize all x-ray rooms in main department.
2. Performs various clerical duties including, but not limited to:

1. 1 Verification of information (to include reading and verifying physican written order) and exams performed, using CR, DR, and PACs immediately after completing exams.
2. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.

8.1 All required safety education programs have been attended. Qualifications

EDUCATION

Must be a graduate of an approved two year program. Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology. Experience Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience. Will consider new grads

LICENSURE
