As an Auto Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function. We ask that you have a minimum 3 years diesel mechanic experience for our semi garage. The mechanic must bring own tools. As an Auto Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers: able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice. Schedule Day shift- Monday Through Friday 8am- 5pm Will have an on-call schedule to work road service Can work plenty of overtime Will be on call two nights a week Every other weekend off Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business Must be able to work at a fast pace Must be able to work as a team member with fellow employees Must be able to pass drug test Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred Strong customer service and communication skills are required #J-18808-Ljbffr Bill's Towing and Recovery
