Supply Chain Planning Manager

Job Summary : The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s integrated demand and supply plan, translating customer and commercial requirements into an executable Master Production Schedule (MPS). This role owns the end-to-end planning process across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, inventory strategy, and Master Production Scheduling, providing the critical link between Sales/Order Management, Procurement, and Operations. The Planning Manager establishes a single, aligned operating plan that balances customer requirements, backlog, forecast, inventory, material availability, production capacity, and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the consolidated demand plan incorporating customer orders, backlog, forecasts, commercial inputs, and historical demand; facilitate the demand review process and establish a consensus demand outlook; monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and backlog trends.
• Translate demand into a time-phased supply plan considering inventory, production capacity, material availability, supplier constraints, and lead times; identify demand/supply imbalances and recommend alternatives involving inventory, capacity, production timing, or customer priorities.
• Own and facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre-S&OP, and Executive S&OP; prepare scenarios, risks, and decisions for leadership review; ensure S&OP decisions are translated into the operating plan and MPS.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) by product, quantity, and time period; establish planning horizons, time fences, and change-control practices; manage MPS changes based on customer priorities, material constraints, capacity changes, and business decisions.
• Partner with Order Management and Sales to assess supply feasibility, support realistic customer delivery commitments, and establish order prioritization and allocation logic when demand exceeds available supply; escalate significant customer, revenue, or supply trade-offs to leadership.
• Ensure MRP requirements remain aligned with the approved MPS; establish planning policies governing the interaction between MPS, MRP, inventory, and material planning; partner with Buyer/Planners to resolve material constraints, MRP exceptions, and shortages.
• Establish inventory planning strategies, safety-stock policies, and target inventory levels consistent with service, lead-time, and working-capital objectives; monitor projected inventory, excess and obsolete exposure, and inventory turns.
• Establish and maintain planning KPIs (forecast accuracy/bias, MPS attainment, backlog, inventory performance, material availability, planning stability); improve planning processes, ERP/MRP system utilization, and master-data quality; identify root causes of recurring planning and execution gaps.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in supply chain planning, production planning, demand planning, materials management, or related manufacturing roles, with demonstrated cross-functional experience working with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Order Management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
• Understanding of demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, MPS, MRP, inventory management, and manufacturing operations

• Location: Louisville, CO
• Employment Type: Full-time, 40+ hours a week
• Shift: Typical daytime hours; may vary based on project needs

Salary and Benefits

• Base Salary or Range:  $110,000 - $130,000 annually
