Job Title: Mechanical Tool Designer
Location: Lewis Center, Ohio
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Tool Designer with strong experience in industrial/manufacturing automation, machine design, tooling, and material handling systems.
Required Skills
- SolidWorks & AutoCAD
- Automation machine and high-speed line design
- Conveyors, material handling, SPM, and transfer mechanisms
- Jigs, fixtures, tooling, and pick-and-place systems
- Bowl feeder and sensor selection
- Pneumatic, servo, and robotic systems
- Standard component selection such as LM Guides, servo motors, bearings, etc.
- Engineering calculations and mechanical component sizing
- Electrical device knowledge including switches, load cells, and LVDTs
- BOMs, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- OSHA, CE, and ISO standards
- Experience coordinating with onsite/offshore teams, vendors, fabricators, and programmers
- Ability to lead and coordinate mechanical design activities
