Registered Nurse - Breast and Cervical Health

The Breast and Cervical Health Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care management, focusing on prevention, screening, and diagnostic services for patients. This position involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates closely with providers, radiology, the broader healthcare team, and Community Wellness initiatives to promote optimal patient outcomes and safety.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions, recognizing changes in patient condition and initiating appropriate responses or escalation of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to provider orders and organizational policy.
• Provide comprehensive care management for Breast and Cervical cancer prevention, screening, and diagnostic services.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of services.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Advocate for patient care and assist patients in navigating the healthcare system.
• Practice within the nursing scope of practice, adhering to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork within the clinical environment.
• Provide appropriate guidance and delegation to ancillary staff.
• Float to other departments or assignments as needed to support patient care.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience in women's health, oncology, preventative care, or case management.
• Case Management certification (or willingness to obtain within two years of hire).

• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, evidence-based practice, medication safety, and infection prevention.
• Exceptional clinical judgment, critical thinking, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other clinical systems.
• Competency in the use of all equipment relevant to the specialty area.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to maintain required clinical and high-risk competencies as per organizational policy.
