This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.HDR is currently seeking a Site Civil Engineering Team Lead for our Building Engineering Services Business Group located in Denver, CO. Our team is an integrated facility and infrastructure design team consisting of core services of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Site Civil Engineering. This person will be responsible for the design of facility-related sites in support of a variety of markets including Corporate/Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Civic, Industrial, Sports & Recreation, and Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. Experience in land development and the design of building related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is required. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative, and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound designs.In the role of Site Civil Engineering Team Lead we'll count on you to: Develop civil engineering scope of work and budgets for proposalsParticipate in the interview process for new workServe as the Engineer of Record on complex projectsConnect the civil team with resources, but internal and externalDefine the direction of team growth and development Support individual team members in their desired career developmentAdvocate for individuals, the team, and the site civil business classCollaborate with other HDR business groups and teamsAssist with community outreach as defined within the scope of a project Manage client meetings and correspondenceAuthor subconsultant agreementsGuide the design team through design calculations and the process of developing a plan set, details, specifications, and cost estimates (concept through construction documents)Use engineering judgement to determine the best course of actionBe independent in your pursuit of information and solutionsManage your time and organization of multiple tasks/projectsCommunicate effectively with managers and team membersAppropriately manage your team’s workload and future commitmentsPursue efficiencies within your work and operationsMentor junior staff and delegate appropriate tasksBe an advocate for HDR, the BES Business Group, and the Site Civil teamPerform other tasks that support the mission and vision of HDR and the BES Business GroupPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering firmPrevious project management experiencePreference given to local candidates#LI-MV3QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 7 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
