Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not‑for‑profit, member‑owned, locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities. With 25 locations throughout East Tennessee, we serve more than 300,000 members, offering checking, savings, investments, competitive auto and RV loans, mortgages, personal loans and credit cards.

Pay

Starting Range is $20.00 - $22.00, depending on work experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for legal action and notifications to attorneys, courts, members, and other sources.
• Prepare execution and supplemental forms, verify judgment balances with court, and correspond with the Credit Union attorneys’ office and court clerks.
• Use internet and electronic court systems to review documents, payments, court trials, executions, and petitions to pay.
• Review, update, and maintain the core operating system, online banking systems, collection system, and work‑assigned legal collection queues; send notifications to various Credit Union departments and specified vendors of legal action and status.
• Review account history and balances for contested matters; communicate with attorneys, court clerks, and other parties to resolve disputes.
• Update and distribute reports and spreadsheets to reflect current status of legal files.
• Export files to the collection agency for placement of new accounts for collection.
• Correspond with collections agency for requests or information on accounts, including disputed accounts.
• Ensure sensitive and personal information on Credit Union documentation is redacted when necessary to protect the Credit Union’s claims.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) guidelines, state laws, and local court rules when applicable.
• Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including appearance, behavior, and performance).
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of legal experience required.
