ER Registered Nurse

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client. This core role is responsible for the rapid coordination and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, embodying compassion and empathy in every encounter. The ER RN identifies, monitors, and treats patients with complex and acute conditions, utilizing critical thinking to modify treatment plans and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and continuity of care. Job Responsibilities Identify and monitor patient care requirements by accurately recording and reporting symptoms and changes in conditions, including vital signs. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate dynamic patient care plans. Administer medications as ordered, review diagnostic tests, and modify patient treatment plans based on patient response and physician direction. Establish a compassionate environment by providing necessary emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Document all patient care services thoroughly by charting actions, irregularities, and continuing needs in patient and department records. Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about their condition, medications, and self-care skills. Coordinate admissions and discharge planning and assist with or prepare patients for examinations and treatments. Requirements Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by degree). Experience Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Emergency Room (ER) experience is REQUIRED. Certifications/Licenses Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license is required. Note on Licensure: Candidates with ≥3 years of RN experience and a compact license may be considered but must apply for the FL license. Candidates with Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Skills Proven ability to make rapid clinical assessments and modify treatment plans in a high-stakes, fast-paced ER environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills to resolve patient problems utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
