Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Burn (ICU Burn) nurse position is located in a facility in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized critical care services to burn patients and other populations within the intensive care setting. The position requires a committed healthcare professional experienced in burn care and critical care procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification, minimum 2 years of nursing experience, valid California location, and BSN degree.
• Preferred Qualifications: Burn Unit experience, 1 year of pediatrics experience, Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRAN), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN), prior travel experience within the last 12 months, prior teaching hospital experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Skills: Arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, infection prevention, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of multisystem organ failure, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, IV insertion, suctioning (ETT, NT), ventilator management
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics
• Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy; daily census of approximately 10 patients; 14 rooms with 16 beds available.
• Travel & Float Policy: Must have prior travel experience within the last 12 months; float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius may be required; discussion of float policy is recommended at the time of submission and offer.
• Other Requirements: Must have COVID-19 vaccination and booster with proof of vaccination or scheduled appointment before start date; all RN positions require a BSN degree.
