Job Description Benefit Alternative - Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Scrub Technician / Surgical Technologist Purpose & Scope: The OR Scrub Technician is accountable for the technical functions related to the patient's perioperative experience. The functions of this role include preparing the OR environment, equipment, instrumentation, and supply utilization. The technician reports to the circulating RN and works in concert with the department's philosophy and goals. Responsibilities Prepare the operating room environment, equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for surgery. Assist the circulating RN and ensure a safe, efficient perioperative process. Maintain inventory and manage supply utilization for surgical procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of scrub experience preferred. Licensed Surgical Technologist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required. Certification in Surgical Technology preferred. BLS certification required.
