Primary Function Lochinvar in Lebanon, TN- a business unit of A.O. Smith. Constructs high quality custom commercial water heaters, boilers, and pool heaters. Assembles such items as fans, gas trains, sheet metal parts, heat exchangers and other assemblies.

Responsibilities Verifies the information on the work order header is correct such as BOM part numbers, quantities, and consuming locations. Follows procedures to see that info gets corrected. Completes assembly of the components per the instructions, drawing and quality standards. Inspects components for fit, form and function per defined procedures. Using a variety of hand tools, assembles outer casings, control housings, flanges, mounts piping, pumps and flow switches. Installs wiring, including the wiring of pumps, panels and other options, according to the work order. Crates completed units and attaches shipping labels.

Physical Requirements Loud noises and limited exposure to dust and fumes. Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection. Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance Use of wrenching, impacting, and/or vibrating tools (manual and automatic) is required occasionally for extended periods of time. Variable hot and cold working environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
