Controller - Construction-Related Industry Experience Salary Range: Up to $150k to $200k depending on experience

Qualifications

Accounting Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with construction ERP systems.
• Experience with consolidation accounting for C-Corporations with LLC subsidiaries.

Leadership Skills:

• Ability to run a team of 5-6 people.

Independence:

• Individuals who are independent and do not require micromanagement.

Industry Experience:

• Experience in General Contracting (GC), HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical, or plumbing.

Regulatory Knowledge:

• Experience with multi-state corporate registrations and licensing.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax rules for contracting.
• Familiarity with heating and air replacement.
• Must have multi-state work experience, including:
• Department of Revenue.
• SOC (System and Organization Controls).
• State licensing boards.
• Paperwork rules.

Position Type: Hands-on role requiring proactive involvement. The ideal candidate could fill a VP role but the focus is on being a doer, not a manager.
