Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience and the ability to float across critical care units.

Details

• 12-hour day shift, 7a-7p weekdays with every other weekend
• 13-week contract assignment
• Float pool position covering ICU, Stepdown, ED, Med Surg, and Behavioral Health Annex (training provided for Behavioral Health)
• Uses specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Arctic Sun or TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infusers
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration (temporary licenses not accepted)
• 2-3 years of ICU experience required, with stronger candidates preferred if closer to 2 years
• ICU and Stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently and quickly across a variety of care settings
• Driver's license with address matching demographics required for consideration
• Copies of current certifications required

Additional Information

• Float comfortably between ICU and Stepdown units with modified assignments as needed
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Former perm staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• Weekly orientation provided
• Local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
• RTO must be submitted and included with candidate profile
