Cashier - Lunchtime Solutions

Location: On-site at Flandreau School District
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-8:30am & 11:20am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role, you'll help create a positive experience for students by providing friendly, efficient service while managing transactions and supporting smooth daily meal service. It's a great role for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a supportive team.

What You'll Do

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process student transactions and manage account balances
• Keep your station stocked and ready while helping serve meals and a la carte items during service
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions accurately
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, and customers, helping create a welcoming environment.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up before and after meal service
• Support food safety standards and complete basic logs or records as needed
• Communicate with your team and supervisors about inventory, customer feedback, or account concerns
• Jump in where needed-help with stocking, basic kitchen tasks, or supporting teammates

What You Bring

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to your team.
• Dependability, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
