CGD SME Engineer

You will ensure commercial-grade items used in safety-related applications meet design, regulatory, and quality requirements. You will focus on approval of supplier CGD plans and procedures—not performing dedication.You will report to the Manager of Procurement Engineering and is a hybrid role that can located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA (open to other Westinghouse locations as long as candidate is in a reasonable distance to commute). This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of two days in the office per week.Key Responsibilities:Determine safety function and critical characteristics using design documentationReview supplier CGD procedures, plans, and methodologiesEvaluate technical adequacy of item determinations, critical characteristics, and methodsEnsure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, and EPRI guidanceResolve technical gaps, risks, and nonconformancesWork with suppliers, EPC partners, and engineering teamsIntegrate CGD requirements into design, procurement, and construction processesDevelop guidance, training, and best practicesQualifications:B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Civil, or related)15+ years of nuclear industry experienceExpertise in CGD and procurement engineeringKnowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, nuclear QA, and EPRI CGD guidanceWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
