Individuals will be expected to perform diagnosis and repair on the equipment listed below as well as, being able to work well with others and in an efficient manner.Our Fleet: Snowcats Snowmobiles Heavy Equipment Light Duty Trucks Shuttle and Transit Buses Small Engine EquipmentAbout This RoleJob Title: Vehicle Maintenance Technician Department: Vehicle Maintenance Status: Seasonal FT Reporting To: Vehicle Maintenance ManagerKey Responsibilities:If necessary, work hours other than scheduled.Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidaysOverall understanding of Powder Mountains policies and proceduresGood work ethic, polite to co-workers, and follows directions when being asked to undergo a taskMust be dependable and have excellent communication skillsReliable transportation, preferably 4x4 vehicleMust provide own toolsRequirements and/or Qualifications:Preferred 1 to 3 years experience in Vehicle MaintenancePreferred experience with front-end loaders, snow cats, and related equipmentLevel 1-3 Dependant Upon Requirements Below:Utilize vehicle and equipment technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to optimize equipment downtime, which includes and not limited to:Gas / Diesel Engine Repair and DiagnosisDrive Train Repair and DiagnosisElectrical Repair and DiagnosisSchematic Familiarity - Hydraulic, ElectricalBrake System Repair and DiagnosisSteering and Suspension Repair and DiagnosisPreventative Maintenance on Fleet VehiclesWelding / FabricationHydraulic Diagnosis and RepairEngages around priorities to foster engagement, collaboration, and resultsSupports the professional growth and development of employees across all levels of the organizationOther duties as assignedSelf Starting - Team Oriented MentalityTakes Pride In Repairs PerformedAbility To Follow Proper Channels Of CommunicationPhysical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:Full range of body movementsReach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs)Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, and twistingVision requirements – close, distance, peripheral, and depth perceptionWalk on even/uneven/slippery terrainClimb/descend stairsManual dexterity to operate vehicles safely constantlyAbility to withstand cold temperatures for multiple hours including but not limited to field repairsWorking Environment - Must be able to work in harsh environments including, but not limited to:Negative degree temperaturesVarying priority based repairsWithin a shop housing multiple departmentsExtended periods of time in the snow performing repairs / diagnosisWhiteout conditionsMust be able to safely operate all equipment in varying conditionsCompany BackgroundPowder is a year-round resort and real estate development project nestled throughout 12,000 acres in the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah.
