About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in Med/Tele License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: General Med/Tele skill set including stroke experience, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pump medication management, and cardiac drips. Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry. Candidates should have a minimum of 18 months of experience in a MedSurg/Tele setting. Responsibilities include managing patients with conditions such as stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed. The patient ratio will be 1:5-6, depending on acuity, and may increase during surge staffing. Nursing assistants will be available to assist with patient care. Additional duties may include phlebotomy and telemetry monitoring. Floating to other facilities may be required based on needs within the region. The schedule includes a weekend rotation and holiday work expectations. Candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
