Medical Science Liaison, Uro-Oncology - Northeast

Field Medical Liaison – Uro‑Oncology/Bladder Cancer Ferring seeks a passionate, strategic, results‑driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support the Uro‑Oncology/Bladder Cancer therapeutic area. Responsibilities Present accurate, unbiased, balanced and timely answers to unsolicited requests for information about bladder cancer to healthcare professionals and decision makers. Establish scientific and clinical relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers to expand research and educational opportunities. Provide study support from protocol and budget development to submission and completion for PhaseIV and Investigator‑Initiated Trials (IITs). Provide continuing field scientific support and training for sales and Corporate Account Managers (CAMs). Document and forward reports of adverse events to appropriate personnel. Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in the therapeutic area. Proactively report competitive activities and events that can influence the use of product(s). Develop and deliver scientific/educational programs, including formulary presentations for managed care and related organizations. Assist Medical Affairs and agency personnel in developing presentations and slide kits. Participate in advisory boards, speaker‑training events, clinical investigator meetings, regional, national and international meetings when required. Assist in processing field requests for medical education funding. Staff medical information booths at key medical and scientific conferences; gather competitive intelligence. Qualifications Doctorate degree (D.V.M., M.D., Ph.D. or Pharm.D.) in biological sciences. Minimum of 2years of previous MSL experience. Experience in Uro‑Oncology, Urology or Oncology required. Ability to apply technical expertise and solutions to diverse/individualized situations. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements as well as clinical trial design and statistics. Teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of colleagues. Networking skills and confidence to interact with senior experts on a peer‑to‑peer level. Critical data analysis skills. Willingness to keep up to date with scientific literature. High level of emotional intelligence to work effectively with stakeholders. Represents the organization as a prime field medical contact. Physical Requirements Field‑based role with willingness to travel 60% or more of the time. Northeast Territory: Maine, Massachusetts, NewHampshire, RhodeIsland, Vermont. Location Parsippany, New Jersey. Benefits Competitive base salary in the range $174,900 to $200,000 plus annual bonus based on performance.
