Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30), every other weekend and some holidays required; 4x12 schedule may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, interpreting telemetry and cardiac rhythms as needed
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and patient census needs
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care ICU experience within the last three years
• BLS and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Must pass a telemetry examination prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher, with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with telemetry interpretation and advanced cardiac rhythm recognition
