Nurse Practitioner - Functional Medicine

Clinical Focus: Functional Medicine, IV Therapy, Neuropathy, and Sexual Wellness

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time 

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner to join a growing functional medicine practice. This role emphasizes individualized, evidence-informed care with a clinical focus that includes IV therapy, neuropathy, metabolic and wellness concerns, and sexual wellness. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing patients independently, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, and helping build efficient clinical workflows in a growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and functional medicine assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and evidence-informed care.
• Evaluate and manage patients receiving IV hydration and nutrient therapy within the provider's scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Assess patients with neuropathy symptoms and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Evaluate common metabolic, wellness, and lifestyle factors that may affect overall health and quality of life.
• Participate in the evaluation and management of sexual wellness concerns within the Nurse Practitioner's training, competency, scope of practice, and applicable regulations.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Educate patients regarding treatment plans, lifestyle modification, nutrition, follow-up care, and risk reduction.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans when clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
• Support development of clinical workflows, protocols, and patient education as the practice grows.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state.
• Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in functional medicine, integrative medicine, primary care, wellness, or a related clinical setting preferred.
• Experience with IV therapy strongly preferred.
• Experience evaluating or managing neuropathy patients preferred.
• Comfort discussing and managing sensitive sexual wellness concerns in a professional and patient-centered manner.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a growing practice while collaborating with the broader clinical team.
