House Supervisor Registered Nurse - F/T Day Shift - Behavioral Health

House Supervisor (RN) – Day Shift – 8:00 am to 8:00 pm West Oaks Hospital seeks an experienced RN to supervise nursing staff during day shifts, ensuring quality patient care for adults, adolescents, and children. Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to all RNs, LVNs, and Mental Health Technicians, offering clinical and administrative support throughout the shift. Implement interventions and maintain nursing department philosophy, goals, and objectives in line with professional practice. Uphold Standards of Care and ensure the facility meets staffing requirements during duty. Interpret and discuss administrative policies with staff, patients, and visitors when necessary. Facilitate completion of admissions paperwork and ensure patients are fully informed during the admission process. Collaborate with the on‑call pharmacist to supply medication for patient use per hospital policies and procedures. Respond to referral and inquiry calls, provide information on programs and services, and conduct assessments and medical screenings as required. Licensure and Certification: Current Texas State Registered Nurse license plus CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications. Experience: Five years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
