Reportando al Gerente Clínico, el Consejero de Alcohol y Drogas (AOD) es responsable de la coordinación del servicio individual para los pacientes inscritos en los Servicios Residenciales/ Ambulatorios para Adultos/Adolescentes de Phoenix House, incluyendo el apoyo a una transición exitosa de regreso a la comunidad. En colaboración con el Gerente Clínico, el Consejero de AOD tiene una carga de pacientes y apoya la integración exitosa de la atención médica, el tratamiento de abuso de sustancias y otros servicios dentro de los planes de tratamiento individuales. El Especialista de Apoyo a la Recuperación en Phoenix House Orange County en Victorville, CA, es responsable de evaluar las fortalezas y debilidades de los clientes, desarrollar planes de tratamiento, coordinar la provisión de servicios y abogar por los servicios necesarios. Trabajan en estrecha colaboración con agencias de referencia, el Departamento de Enfermería y médicos consultores para garantizar servicios médicos de calidad para los clientes. Otras tareas incluyen identificar las necesidades del programa, sugerir mejoras, asistir a sesiones de capacitación del personal y promover los valores de Phoenix House. Capacidad para establecer y hacer cumplir consistentemente límites apropiados con los pacientes. Capacidad para modelar un comportamiento y una conducta positivos. Comprensión de la adicción, modelos concurrentes y modalidades de tratamiento. Comprensión del desarrollo del paciente y de los sistemas familiares. Entendimiento general del modelo médico residencial de tratamiento, prácticas de tratamiento de SUD, facilitación de grupos utilizando tratamientos basados en evidencia y prácticas de cuidado continuo que conducen a transiciones exitosas de alta para todos los pacientes asignados.
