Bayou City Luxe is expanding our cleaning team throughout Greater Houston and surrounding areas! We're looking for reliable, detail-oriented cleaning professionals who want flexible earning opportunities and take pride in delivering exceptional results.

Our portfolio includes furnished apartments, townhomes, single-family residences, and larger vacation properties. Whether you prefer working independently or alongside a team, we offer cleaning assignments based on property size, reservation schedules, and service locations.

We provide cleaning supplies, equipment, fresh linens, and guest essentials. You provide reliable transportation and the skills to get the job done right.

As a vacation rental cleaner, you'll be responsible for preparing assigned properties between guest stays. Every completed turnover should leave the home thoroughly cleaned, properly stocked, organized, and ready to welcome the next guest.

Cleaning & Sanitization

• Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, hallways, and all designated guest spaces.
• Scrub and sanitize toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, countertops, mirrors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean kitchen appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, and ovens, inside and out as required.
• Check dishes, cookware, utensils, cabinets, and drawers for cleanliness.
• Dust furniture, shelving, décor, baseboards, windowsills, and accessible surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs, sweep and mop hard floors, and remove dirt, hair, dust, and debris.
• Empty trash containers, replace liners, and remove discarded food and waste.

Linens, Restocking & Guest Preparation

• Strip used beds and replace bedding with fresh, properly fitted linens.
• Make beds neatly according to each property's established presentation standards.
• Replace towels, bathmats, and kitchen linens.
• Collect used linens and place them in designated areas for laundry pickup. Off-site laundering is not required.
• Restock provided toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, kitchen essentials, and other guest supplies.
• Return furniture, pillows, décor, household items, and amenities to their designated locations.
• Clean and prepare designated patios, balconies, entrances, and outdoor guest areas.
• Ensure the home is fresh, welcoming, and properly arranged for incoming guests.

Property Inspections & Quality Control

• Inspect for damage, missing items, stained linens, malfunctioning appliances, pest activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Photograph and report excessive messes, damage, unusual odors, or conditions requiring additional attention.
• Identify belongings left behind and follow established lost-property procedures.
• Complete required digital cleaning checklists and upload completion photographs.
• Perform a final walkthrough to confirm cleaning, restocking, and presentation requirements are complete.
• Follow property-specific instructions for securing doors, windows, lights, thermostats, and access.
• Promptly report any issue that could affect the next guest's arrival.

Communication & Professional Standards

• Arrive as agreed and complete accepted assignments within the established turnover window.
• Communicate promptly regarding access issues, delays, supply shortages, or unexpected cleaning conditions.
• Maintain consistent cleaning quality across all accepted assignments.
• Respect property contents, guest privacy, and confidential access information.
• Address documented cleaning deficiencies in accordance with the agreed scope and service terms.
• Obtain approval before performing additional work outside the standard cleaning requirements.

We're looking for dependable cleaning professionals who are efficient, organized, and capable of delivering consistent results.

Required Qualifications

• Reliable personal transportation to accepted property locations throughout Greater Houston.
• Smartphone capable of receiving assignments, completing digital checklists, and submitting photos.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow property-specific cleaning requirements.
• Ability to work independently or coordinate with other cleaning professionals.
• Professional communication and dependable follow-through.
• Ability to meet agreed-upon cleaning deadlines.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying cleaning equipment.
• Availability for weekend and holiday cleaning assignments when needed.

Preferred Experience

• Professional residential or commercial cleaning.
• Hotel or hospitality housekeeping.
• Airbnb, vacation rental, or short-term rental turnover cleaning.
• Experience using digital cleaning checklists or property management applications.

1099 Independent Contractor | Paid Per Completed Turnover

Cleaning assignments are compensated at predetermined rates based on property size, cleaning requirements, and staffing.

Standard Property Turnover Rates

Property Size - Total Job Rate

Studio / 1 Bedroom - $45

2 Bedrooms - $60

3 Bedrooms - $80

4 Bedrooms - $100

5 Bedrooms - $135

Larger Homes & Estates - Individually Quoted

These rates represent the total cleaning budget for each property, not the guaranteed individual payment when multiple cleaners are assigned.

For team assignments, compensation is divided according to the agreed arrangement. For example, two cleaners completing an $80 turnover would receive $40 each under an equal split.

Individual compensation and cleaning requirements are confirmed before accepting an assignment.

Additional compensation may be available for approved deep cleaning, excessive messes, specialty cleaning, or other services outside the standard turnover scope.

Scheduling & Availability

Most cleaning assignments take place between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM , depending on guest checkout and arrival schedules.

Our vacation rentals operate seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Applicants must have weekend and holiday availability when needed , as these are essential periods for our cleaning operations.

Contractors may review available assignments before accepting them. Once an assignment is accepted, the agreed arrival time, cleaning scope, and completion deadline must be honored.

Assignment volume varies according to guest reservations. No minimum number of assignments or guaranteed weekly earnings is offered.

Contractors are responsible for their own transportation expenses and applicable self-employment taxes.
