We're passionate about our work, we believe there is always a better way, and we're looking for people like you.Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team in North Mankato, MN.Your Responsibilities:Plan and schedule work to be done in the most cost efficient and safe manner while working to maintain project timelinesApply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as product conveying systems, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.Coordinate electrical equipment purchases & managing inventory for projectsAnalyze plant processes, design and implement improvementsTroubleshooting issues with hardware and processesCreate, maintain and keep current all hard copies and electronic data bases: all electrical and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC, operator display, operator interface, and robot programs; machine power distribution and all related vendor controls component part documentationCollaboration between Mechanical Engineers, Electricians and OperationsOn-hands assistance with the machine shop and electricians as neededOccasional travel within the U.S. for installations and site visitsYou Must Have:Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Controls Engineering or related field1 + years of experience with PLC programming in a manufacturing environment writing and editing PLC programs and HMI user interfaces.Experience in CAD software creating electrical printsStrong organizational skills overseeing multiple projects at onceHigh computer literacy – ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookStrong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problemsAbility to operate autonomously and self-directExcellent communication and teambuilding skills and an ability to manage relationships with internal and external customers, fostering a relationship of trust and mutual respectWe Would Also Prefer:Print Industry Experience a plusExperience with AutodeskExperience with Allen BradleyNFPA 79 and ANSI B11.19The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
