Cost Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $150,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead cost accounting activities across manufacturing operations including standard costing and cost tracking.
• Oversee month end close for inventory and cost of goods sold ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Analyze cost variances and identify drivers impacting margins and operational performance.
• Partner with operations teams to translate financial results into actionable insights and improve efficiency.
• Manage inventory processes including monitoring balances supporting counts and maintaining data accuracy.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.
• 7+ years of cost accounting experience within manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of costing methods variance analysis and inventory accounting practices.
• Possess prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting staff.
• Use Excel and enterprise systems effectively to support analysis reporting and financial modeling.

Qualifications:

• Develop financial models and forecasts to support planning and operational decision making.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve processes and strengthen data accuracy.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and analytical skills when evaluating financial performance.
• Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non finance stakeholders.
• Bring experience in specialized manufacturing environments professional certification or process improvement initiatives considered beneficial.
