Investment Banking Analyst

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

A growing middle-market investment banking platform is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its team. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside senior bankers in a highly entrepreneurial environment focused on M&A advisory, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments for founder-owned, family-owned, and sponsor-backed businesses. The firm specializes in middle-market transactions and emphasizes extensive exposure to clients, buyers, investors, and deal execution from day one.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of sell-side M&A transactions, recapitalizations, and capital raising engagements.
• Develop detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction-related materials.
• Assist in the preparation of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, buyer lists, and marketing materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research across multiple sectors.
• Participate in due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, buyers, investors, and other transaction stakeholders.
• Analyze strategic alternatives and provide support on value creation and advisory engagements.
• Track transaction activity, market trends, and comparable company analyses to support client discussions and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate development, private equity, or related experience.
• Strong financial modeling, accounting, and valuation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms.
