Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art Sterile and Materials Processing department. The Sterile Processing Technician will support the decontamination, disinfection, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments using advanced equipment.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrument pans and trays
• Operate and maintain steam sterilizers according to established procedures
• Check and adjust medical equipment to ensure operational standards
• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment following procedures
• Receive, store, and document supplies from vendors and hospital areas
• Conduct quality assurance on sterile supplies and instruments

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD)
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
• Experience in a large hospital setting (500+ beds)
• Travel experience (minimum 6 months)
• Two professional references from the last two experiences
