Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist - Weekend Shift!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team and make a difference in patient care!
- Perform all required radiographic procedures under the guidance of the Radiologist.
- Utilize advanced technology to conduct X-rays and CT scans for diagnostic purposes.
- Exhibit independent judgment and creativity while applying ionizing radiation for imaging.
- Take responsibility for designated areas and procedures, ensuring quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:


- Transport patients safely according to their physical abilities.
- Use positioning aids to create quality patient exams.
- Operate all CT associated equipment expertly.
- Protect patients following departmental policies and procedures.
- Administer contrast media orally and/or intravenously as directed by the Radiologist.
- Assist in performing special procedures with a focus on sterile technique and Universal Precautions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per department protocols.
- Clean examination rooms after each procedure and restock supplies as necessary.

Qualifications:


- Minimum of two years previous experience preferred.
- Completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA-approved school.
- Registered by the ARRT and certified as a CT Technologist.
- BLS Certification Required.

Physical Demands:


- Engage in considerable walking, standing, bending, and squatting throughout shifts.
- Reach overhead and forward, with occasional sitting and climbing required.
- Lift and move patients and equipment (40 lbs. to 80 lbs. unassisted; 80 lbs. to 250 lbs. with assistance).
- Manual dexterity to start an IV and ability to communicate effectively with patients.
